The Buddhist city of Mes Aynak is being destroyed by the chinese government to mine cooper. This city has anicent temples, is a hub for Asiain trade and has been around since the Bronze age. We cannot let such places to be destroyed. Would we destroy Rome just to mine some cooper?

Hi! This blog is to talk about the events that are happening here at home but also around the world.
To start off I am going to talk about the big issue here at home. What is that? The Chicago Public Schools (CPS) teachers stikes. Teachers, I understand that you want more money, but really spending alittle more time in school is not going to kill you. You are finally reaching the same amount of time each day as us in the suburbs. I honestly dont care how much money you want. I am conserned about the 65,000 or so children that are not getting an education because you are not being payed enough. http://abclocal.go.com/wls/story?section=news/local&id=8813679 Here is an article telling all about this. Thank you CPS teachers for finally ending it today and finally get those kids back to school.
